Preventative Care
Preventative care is of the utmost importance in maintaining your pet's health for years to
come. Our pets age five to seven years every calender year, making physical exams an
important part of the early detection of health problems. It is recommended that adult
pets (1-7 years of age) receive annual physical examinations and that senior pets (7+
years old) receives a nose-to-tail exam of all body structures every six months.
We'll use these visits to ask questions about your pet's bahaviour, appetite, exercise habits, and
regular activities at home. This is also an excellent time for us to discuss any routine
diagnostic testing that may benefit your pet or to recommend any vaccinations that may
be due. This is also a chance for you to have us address your questions or concerns
about your pet. We strive to help you understand your pet's health considerations, and
we encourage you to be involved in decisions regarding your pet's health care.
