From Humble Beginnings

Spruit Veterinary Clinic first opened it's doors in 2010 by owner and veterinarian, Dr. Sameer Abbas. Dr. Abbas has more than 20 years experience in various fields of the veterinary industry, from wellfare right through to advanced surgical procedures.

Thanks to the efforts of both him and the staff, we have grown from a small private practice to a proper veterinary clinic featuring highly equiped facilities and state of the art diagnostic equipment.

We understand that your pet is a part of your family and therefor treat your furry companion as an extension of our own.

Meet the Team

Dr. Sameer Abbas

Clinic Owner and Licensed Veterinarian

Dr Abbas graduated in 1988 from the University of Baghdad and came to South Africa in 1998. In 2001 he passed the SAVC examination and registered as a veterinary surgeon.

Dr Abbas has a passion for small animal medicine and a special interest in orthopeadic surgery and techniques.

Mr. TimTim

Medical Director

Our now medical director was found going through our garbage bags and after an extensive search for his owners, with no luck, we decided that our practice needed a director.

TimTim can be found overseeing the frontshop and keeping an eye on our visitors.
